BRCA1 Gene Alteration
Age: 25
Implants: 750cc with fat grafting
Surgery details: Surgery due to breast cancer diagnosis. Nipple sparing mastectomy with tissue expanders, exchanged for implants.
“My name is Tayna, I’m 25 years old. I was diagnosed with stage 2B, locally advanced breast cancer and have the BRCA1 gene.
I went through 6 months of chemo, a nipple sparing, double mastectomy with tissue expanders (625cc) in July 2023.
I then did 17 rounds of immunotherapy, and at the end of February 2024, had my exchange surgery. This was to exchange my expanders for implants, along with some fat grafting. My implants are 750cc.
I’m so happy with the results of my implants. When I had the tissue expanders, I was very insecure and didn’t like how they looked, because for me, they were not similar at all. And now, once they are healed, I think they will look just how I wanted them to.”
