Leeds Support Groups -IRL (In Real Life)
We host meetings every other month in collaboration with Leeds Genetic Support Group and Leeds Teaching Hospitals. These are welcoming and inclusive spaces for anyone with a genetic alteration.
Within each of these meetings we will welcome a VIP Guest Speaker, who will do a specific talk. We cover a range of different topics such as, breasts, ovaries, family planning etc. We’ll then have an open Peer Support Group (PSG), for you to meet each other, and have a chat. Connection is Key!
In the future we hope to include a mastectomy show and tell, with our own models, who proudly show their reconstruction or aesthetic flat closure. You can ask them all the questions! But for now, visit our amazing mastectomy gallery.
As with all things BRCA+ Chat, the groups will be shaped by what YOU need- so if you have any things you’d like us to include, just let us know.
